Something that no one wants to do is to come home and spend hours cooking after a long day at work. Even some simple dishes require you to prep food for an hour or more. This can cause you to turn to processed or prepared foods that contain high amounts of salt and sugar just to avoid long cooking times. There is a solution available today. A man named Nicko from the YouTube channel Nicko’s Kitchen has a dinner dish that can be prepped in under two minutes.
Start with a glass or metal casserole dish. Spread a cup of white rice out on the bottom in an even layer. Put two boneless, skinless chicken breasts in the middle of the dish on top of the rice. You now want to get a bowl and pour in a can of celery soup. Add in a packet of powdered French onion soup mix. Drop in two celery soup cans worth of just plain tap water. Mix everything together and sprinkle in a little salt and pepper. Pour the liquid mixture over top of the chicken and rice. Roughly dice two whole onions and layer them on top of everything.
Place the casserole dish in the oven at 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Leave it to cook for about two hours checking occasionally to ensure nothing is burning. The rice will plump up and the chicken will remain tender while it cooks. Take the dish out at the end and allow it to cool for about five minutes before serving everyone this simple dinner.
