Ready for a getaway this summer? This new and dreamy treehouse may be just the escape you’re yearning for.
Located in Bristol, England, “Crane 29” is the latest rental you can book from speciality travel agency Canopy and Stars. This one-of-a-kind treehouse is suspended from a crane (!) 26 feet above the city’s harbor. And while it may be located in the heart of a bustling urban area, this bungalow feels like a woodsy escape thanks to the rustic decor, greenery galore, and cozy feel.
The treehouse, which took three years to design and build, will open June 9 and house guests until September 24. Since the treehouse is only open for 100 days, the travel agency is providing a lottery system to book one-night stays ($238 for weeknights and $322 for weekends). Once the experience has ended, Canopy and Stars will donate all proceeds to Friends of the Earth.
Take a peek inside, then enter the lottery at Canopy at Stars.
The hanging house provides relief from urban noise and chaos while providing access to the city’s most stunning feature: its gorgeous views.
The bungalow was designed to feel like a rustic, plant-packed oasis with modern amenities and perks like electricity and running water. “We hope people enjoy their stays in this amazing building and wake up to the great outdoors feeling they are truly part of this pocket of nature in the city—a real natural high,” Tom Dixon, the managing director of Canopy & Stars said.
All guests are treated to breakfast before departure, but you may want to use the pretty kitchen to prepare afternoon tea and snacks.
There are more than 500 potted plants throughout the treehouse, according to Travel + Leisure.
Kick back and take a leisurely nap in this hammock, or read a book from the small library provided.
The cozy space features rustic elements and decor from Anthropologie.
With electricity provided throughout, you can take a relaxing, hot shower in this homey bathroom.
