According to a senior Ukrainian military official, Putin assassination nearly happened two months ago but escaped with his life.
An “unsuccessful attempt” was made on Vladimir Putin‘s life in the Caucasus shortly after Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, Ukrainian Defense Intelligence chief Maj. Gen. Kyrylo Budanov has said.
According to Budanov, “There was an assassination attempt on Putin’s life.” It is said that Caucasus representatives attacked him not too long ago.”
Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and parts of southern Russia make up the Caucasus, which is also known as Caucasia. At the time, Budanov described the assassination attempt as “absolutely unsuccessful” and said it occurred in an unspecified region.
In response, Budanov said, “I repeat, this attempt failed.” “This event was not publicized, but it occurred.”
According to Ukrainska Pravda, the entire interview with Budanov will air on Tuesday. Claims that Putin, 69, recently underwent surgery to remove fluid from his abdomen as his health is supposedly deteriorating have not been independently verified.
