Garth Brooks gave a fantastic performance on Good Morning America, and the song he sings is called “Mom”. He sets the song up with an explanation of just what the word “Mom” really means to him. Here’s how he describes it to Robin Roberts: “a conversation between God and this unborn child about ready to go down to earth. And when God describes what a mom is…whew, it kills me.”
Women are mainly in the audience at this performance, so there is much appreciation for the song as it is being performed. Matter of fact, many are wiping their eyes the music proves so moving. Even Robin Roberts can’t help but allow tears to be shed. A very touching and powerful song. And much deserved for all the hard-working, caring, and loving moms out there.
Check out these lyrics: “So hush now baby, don’t you cry – ’cause there’s someone down there waiting for whose only goal in life – is making sure you’re always gonna be alright. A loving angel tender, tough and strong – it’s almost time to go and meet your mom.”
