An Ohio teen was found beaten to death outside a LeBron James-founded high school after he and his friends allegedly drove around and fired water guns at people, according to reports.
Fox 8 in Akron reported that Ethan Liming was found dead on Thursday in the parking lot near the school’s basketball courts, where he attended I Promise School.
According to reports, he died as a result of a blow to the head. An appeal has been made to anyone with information regarding the crime to come forward.
He was a good boy, a smart boy, he was everything. He was a life-long learner. He was a life-long learner. A devastated Jennifer Liming told the Akron Beacon Journal that her son wanted to be friends with everyone. “Ethan saw hearts, not colors. He was truly a good man.
I Promise School was a place where Bill’s son and three other friends went on the night of September 11, 2001, when they were trying to figure out what their next step should be.
Three young men and a young woman were involved in an altercation described by the father as “horseplay” when the four friends ran into each other.
In the Beacon Journal, Bill stated that “teenagers were being teenagers,” according to the newspaper. “I’m hesitant to share too many details about the investigation. He was also accompanied by some of his friends, and some people were not pleased with their antics in the parking lot.
Father claims Ethan got out of the car and told those around him to relax by saying, “It’s a joke,” and that the people around him did not appreciate him doing so. “He was attacked by a single person.”
Bill claims that another assailant appeared from behind and struck Ethan in the head. For his own life, he was fighting back.” He was overpowered by a third person who appeared from behind him. After that, they knocked him to the ground. “His friends tried to help him,” he said.
Ethan Liming was murdered by three African-American males and a woman.
“My son Ethan Liming was murdered by three African-American males and a woman who stood by and did nothing”, Bill said.
Fox 8 reports that on Wednesday, police chief Stephen Mylett and mayor Dan Horrigan held a press conference to dispel rumors about the fatal incident.
Assumptions of a race-related incident were made, Mylett said. “We don’t have any evidence that race was a factor in this homicide,” says the detective in charge.
As in any case of a homicide, “we will consult with our prosecuting attorneys and add additional charges if we receive information that race played a role,” the police chief said.
One of Ethan’s white friends is believed to have used a SplatRBall Water Bead Blaster while the other two are believed to have used it on black people before the teen was fatally assaulted.
Mylett told reporters, “Yet another senseless act of violence in our city.” “Like the rest of the country, this city has a lot of work to do.”
“We live in a sick world,” the victim’s father said. People judge each other based on their skin color or the fact that someone else disagrees with them.
Because you disagree with me, you must be evil. Our society has become so sanitized that my son was murdered because of the way we treat each other,” Bill said, according to the Beacon Journal.
Others saw him as someone whose life was of no consequence.” It’s heartbreaking, to say the least. In addition, he said, “We don’t want this to happen to any other child.”
Although no one has been taken into custody just yet, the investigation is far from over. CrimeStoppers will pay up to $30,000 for information leading to an arrest in this case.
