For this couple, there will be no rice-throwing: After setting themselves on fire to end their wedding ceremony, the newlyweds literally went out in a blaze of glory. At the time of writing, a video of the nuptial pyrotechnics had racked up more than 15,2 million views on the internet. In the video’s caption, the wedding DJ Russ Powell writes, “Their wedding exit makes sparklers look boring.”
Couples Gabe Jessop (42), a stunt double, and Ambyr Mishelle (42), a stunt coordinator, tied the knot in a ceremony honoring their shared work as stunt doubles on television and film sets, including “Yellowstone” and “Hereditary.” However, Jam Press reported that few viewers were prepared for the bizarre wedding stunt, which featured flames that resembled a gender reveal party gone awry.
As a traditional wedding ceremony, the video of the knot-frying ceremony begins with the couple standing side by side. Mishelle’s bouquet is set ablaze by a man with a large incendiary device, evoking images of Nic Cage and Sam Elliott in “Ghost Rider”-style blazes.
They then jog down the aisle holding hands while the guests cheer in the background, seemingly unconcerned by the fact that they are both ablaze. Jessop and Mishelle kneel down as a wedding attendant uses a fire extinguisher to put out the flames.
One impressed TikToker screamed, “Damn! This is incredible!” in response to the fiery display of passion. To seal the deal, we’ll need a full burn.”
“NGL… your wedding is going to be in the top 10 for the rest of your life,” DJ Russ Powell added in the comments section.
Another awestruck commenter said, “If my marriage is not going to be this lit, I’m leaving him at the alter.”
Someone commented, “I know that photographer was stressed,” while another jokingly typed, “Photographer: ‘Can we have a rerun?'” Both joked about the cameraman missing the moment. “I forgot to remove the lens cap.”
Several people likened the scene to Jennifer Lawrence’s “Hunger Games: Catching Fire” flame-encrusted dress.
However, a few concerned commenters wondered if the couple was okay after the explosions.

In this video, “So many things could’ve killed them,” said one social media schoolmarm.
In response to another’s request, DJ Russ Powell said, “They both had anti-burn gel in their hair and face, and she had a wig on top.” According to Newsweek, they were also dressed in flame-resistant clothing.
