Two young men accused of theft were stripped naked and hit on their bare bottoms with planks of wood by masked vigilantes in the Mexican state of Sinaloa.
A video, thought to have been made by one of the mobs who captured the men, shows two youths being let out of a car boot in the city of Culiaca.
They emerge naked holding their clothes to cover themselves before they are both hit with a wooden plank by a masked vigilante and run away.

As the men are hit and run away someone in the mob says: ‘This is happening to you because you are rats (which is also a slang word for a thief in Spanish), abusers and fags.’
Police in Culiacan said that they have not found or identified the two young men being punished in the video or the mob that carried out the attack.
One of the victims is thought to be a minor.
It is not clear what exactly the masked men accused the duo of, or whether they were guilty.
In the past few months, similar acts of vigilante violence have been reported in the Sinaloa municipalities of Culiacan, Navolato, Mazatlan, and Elota.
In the Navolato incident, the family of a man named as Luis Enrique reported that a group of armed men stripped him and beat him while hanging a sign around his neck saying: ‘This is against rats.’
Last month two young men elsewhere in Sinaloa were attacked and partially stripped by armed men. The men wrote a message on their victims’ bodies accusing them of being criminals.
