The video below was recorded by a U.S. soldiers’ father in July. He captures the beautiful moment when his son returned home after being deployed overseas. The soldier wanted to surprise his mother. After getting help from his mother’s co-workers, the father and the son knew exactly where to sit and wait. His mother wasn’t expecting her son to return for another month and he caught her completely off guard. Watch her reaction when she realizes the random soldier in uniform reading a newspaper, is, in fact, her son.
In the photo below, the soldier is pretending to read a newspaper as he waits, knowing that his mother, in the yellow vest, will walk by any second now.
While she is walking past the stranger in the military outfit, she curiously turns her head to look back. It didn’t take long for her to realize that the stranger was her son.
As soon as she realized it was her son, she screams “Nock?” and jumps in his arms! She hugged him tightly and repeatedly asked, “What are you doing here?”
The mother’s reaction as she holds her son is heartwarming. They embraced for a long time as passerby’s who witnessed the event, 3stvo]’85can’t help but smile.
After a few moments, she noticed her husband on the sidelines, points and says to him, “I thought you went golfing.” The father just chuckles, he knew they just caught her completely off guard.
The soldier commented saying, “Probably my best gift to her yet.”
